Our Fabrics of Faith

Prayer Shawls and Quilts

Ephesians 5:1 tells us ?Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love.?

Part of our journey of prayer and faith is to recognize that we may never know how our love and caring will touch or change the life of another person.  We can learn to trust that God works through us when we care for friends and strangers alike.  An old saying tells us that ?Our hands are God?s hands.?

The making of Prayer Shawls and Prayer Quilts is a ministry based on prayer and blessings as we use our hands for God?s work.   With the support of the United Methodist Women of our church, we would like to begin a group interested in being part of this ministry.  It is not necessary that you already knit, crochet, weave, quilt or sew ? there are many ways to be part of this effort.

Please talk to Margaret Schulze about how you can be a part of this exciting challenge and blessing.  You may reach her at 325-785-4430 or mschulze@web-access.net.

We would like to begin a group as soon as possible, so let us know your interest so we can contact you to join us.  ?Where one or two are gathered together in God?s name, there God will be also.?

Receive this word from John Wesley who wrote:   ?Do all the good you can, By all means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.?
