OUR PURPOSE: The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of Missions through participation in hte Global Ministries of the church.

Meeting for April
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Shannon Cloud from the C.P .s. office will be our speaker. Pastor Mike and Mona Wilson are on the Child Welfare Board. We will have our Raindrop Closet wish list.
District Day of Spiritual Growth will be April 10, at the DeLeon UMC. Let the church office know if you are going so we can all go together.
There are over 300 United Methodist missionaries. They serve in over 60 countries and in the United States. Come and be a part of a group of women who want to make disciples of Jesus Christ and help alleviate human suffering.

UMW Cookbook Fundraiser
Thank you to all who have purchased one of these great cookbooks. And
many thanks to all of you who are planning to purchase one! Methodists
are good cooks as you know and there are over 470 delicious recipes in this cookbook.
The money raised from the sale of these cookbooks will be incorporated into the UMW Scholarship Fund. FUMC has TWO seniors graduating in 2010!! And, some of the money will be used for the Senior Class Pizza Party, which UMW hosts each May. There are 80 seniors due to graduate
next May and that’s a LOT of pizzas we’ll need to purchase!!
Cookbooks are on sale after church each Sunday. They are a bargain at $12.00 each. They are available in the church office M-Th. Or, you can call Bitsy Murchison at 625-4694 or Sue Sorrells at 625-2243 to place your order.
