Vacation Bible School July 12-16
Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist Church will be held the week of July 12 through July 16. We begin on Monday, July 12th with a lite supper from 5:15 - 5:45 pm. Then we "blast off" with "Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God!" at 6:00 pm.
Come join Galileo, the galactic green gorilla, for Bible Stories in the Good News Galaxy, make your own Cosmic Crafts, sing and dance in Moons & Tunes, find your space to play in Rocket Rec, study the science of the stars in the Orbital Observatory and fill up in the Astro Bistro.
Our space station will be needing a crew to help man the cadets that are being trained during the week. Each cadet group will need at least 2 Mission Pilots to guide them safely to each portal activity. Also, Mission Control (Registration) will need at least 6 technicians (registrars) to make sure all of the cadets are signed up into the correct pods.
Come join us for a week that is "out of this world" and full of praise!

EASTER CONCERT On behalf of Truitt Mitchell, FUMC choir director, and the County Choir, we would like to thank everyone who attended the concert Easter Sunday evening at Coleman First Baptist Church. The choir performed the cantata "I Know My Redeemer Lives" by Sue C. Smith and Russell Mauldin. Thanks go out also to Pastor John Stanislaw of First Baptist for so graciously hosting this event. We hope and pray that all who attended were especially blessed and felt the presence of the Risen Christ.
Coleman County Choir is sponsored by Coleman First United Methodist Church and pastor Mike Kerzee and is open to all who love to sing.

Congratulations, FUMC ColemanFirst UMC Coleman has been recognized by UM Communcations (UMCom) as an official "Welcoming Congregation" for the third year. "Welcoming Congregations" are a select group of UM congregations nationwide that meets criteria including embracing newcomers and providing opportunities in discipleship. The recognition program is part of a larger effort launched in late 2000 by UMCom, the denomination's communications agency, to use modem technology and the common language of television to spread the Good News of Christ to a world in need.
